After a hiatus Ace of Angels is now again under active development. Momentum is building, and there will be alpha tests scheduled soon.

Today is Memorial Day where we honor the fallen who gave their lives that we may be free.

Today, America remains at War. All that it takes is a bullet for someone to go from celebrating Vet’s day, to his family observing his memory on Memorial Day.

God has blessed America with the finest soldiers in history, who fight, and die to keep us free.

One of the changes in Ace of Angels is the move from The Outerchange set in the Known Sphere, to the new back story of Forgotten Suns. We chose to do this because the Known Sphere was created specifically for the multiplayer Campaign, and not a space flight Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMPOG). Since the original conception of the Campaign predates MMPOGS as they currently exist, the existing back story does not support the direction we want to take for the MMPOG version of Ace of Angles.

With a new back story, we can give players the “game” feel of an MMPOG, which would be inappropriate to a space flight simulation. There will be new toys for your ships, as well as all the wild upgrades you would expect in an MMPOG. We are excited to be free to let our imaginations wander in this new universe.

However, do not fear that you will never see your favorite race again. When we launch Ace of Angels: The Campaign, the Known Sphere will return in all its glory. This will include everything you expect, from scheduled missions, to regular headlines. The players fighting the battles will determine the outcome of the war just as planned.

In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the Forgotten Suns universe, with its new alien races, technology and story, while getting to kick butt with the award winning Ace of Angels flight engine.
