Log-In and Automatic Update

Overview

To log-in to Ace of AngelsŪ, open the program AoAClient.exe. This will start a log in dialog box. Enter your Arena Handle (name) and Password. Select your station IP. If Play Off-line is checked, the game will not log into a server, but will only run on your local machine.

New Handle

To create a new handle, click on the <New Account> button

New Handles and Passwords will trigger a pop-up box saying this Handle is not recognized, and as if you want to create a new Handle. Check your Handle and Password for accuracy, and click the "Yes" box. Flying Rock reserves the right to subsequently alter any Handle that we deem offensive.

Log-In and Automatic Update

Once you have made your settings selections, click the "Log-in" button to connect to the server of your choice! When logging in, please remember that we have some dynamic updating of the Ace of AngelsŪ code, and that your log-in time may be extended while your program files are updated. Progress will be shown with a meter and percentage.

1.5 Saved Settings

Settings for each handle are saved in the AoA folder of the same name. Thus all game settings for the handle "Seenar" are saved in the folder "Seenar". By moving this folder into another AoA directory, all of your settings can be taken with you. We recommend backing up this folder up on a disk to keep it safe.

1.6 Logs

Game Logs
Graphics Logs

Log Location

Ace of Angels® keeps several logs in the "LOGS" folder in its Root Directory. These Logs are numbered and record the last 3 times the game was run (counting quitting to station a new instance of the game running). 1 is the most recent running of the game, and 3 is the furthest in the past.

If you are having problems, FLying Rock® support staff may request you to send your logs. You may do this my sending us a specifically requested log, or just sending the entire folder.

Chat Logs
Chat logs (chat1.log) are records of your online chats within the last session of the game.

Game Logs
Game logs (aoa1.log) record client-server messages that may be helpful to support in debugging problems.

Graphics Logs
Graphics Logs (DxGfx1.log) are records of graphics events, and can be helpful to support in debugging problems.
