Supported in part by the government, the Voice of Irrosa is supportive in its press of its benefactor. The Voice often gives factual accounts of the stories it reports on, however, story selection is sometimes biases in favor of the Federation government.
DEFENDERS TURN BACK ZETHI PROBE IN TAL MKGIZA.
Elements from 1st Fleet have repulsed a Zethi effort to probe the Tal Mkgiza cluster.
Irrosa has confirmed that ships from the 52nd Heavy Assault Group, led by the Federation battleship Koyyem and supported by several aerospace formations, destroyed two Zethi destroyers and damaged several enemy ships before the Zethi disengaged.
The Zethi unit was apparently engaged in a reconnaissance operation in the outlying systems of the Tal Mkgiza cluster. A Zethi battlecruiser, tentatively identified as the Aludan, suffered several direct hits from Federation flyers as well as a crippling salvo from the Koyyem.
"The Zethi can expect a good bit more of the same if they try to enter Tal Mkgiza again," said a Fleet Command spokesman.
ZETHI RAIDERS REPULSED FROM TAL MKGIZA; CHORA DIM AND IRROSHIR STAND FIRM.
Late today, Fleet Command reported the glorious news that a major Zethi attack force has been turned back from Tal Mkgiza.
Officials said that the Zethi thrust into Tal Mkgiza materialized early yesterday when a Zethi attack force entered the Mkate system. Authorities described the enemy force as "substantial, and consisting of several heavy units and at least three carriers."
Homeworld officials report that six enemy ships were destroyed in the melee, including one medium carrier. Several other Zethi vessels suffered damage before fleeing the Mkate system. "This should be a lesson to the Zethi and anyone else who doubts the skill of the Federation Fleet. The Zethi can be beaten," said Senior Councilor Fikir Mazrek.
In other hopeful news, Fleet Command reported that Admiral Jadara’s forces continue to resist the Zethi drive on Chora Dim. 3rd Fleet reported the destruction of at least nine Zethi ships, including five warships. Fleet Command also reported that several cargo ships succeeded in braving the Zethi cordon around Irroshir and were able to deliver much needed supplies to the colony’s J.E.F. defenders.
RUKIRA HIT ZETHI HARD IN AVASHIMMQA.
Rukira arms have swung into action along the Zethi frontier. According to Hashir, strong elements of the Rukira armed forces have smashed their way into Zethi territory. The latest dispatches indicate that the Rukira fleet has reached the outer systems of the Avashimmqa cluster.
Early reports from Hashir stated that the fleet had met with only light resistance and had already penetrated its way into the outer star systems of Avashimmqa. However, Hashir is now confirming that Zethi resistance is becoming stronger.
Officials on Hashir have also reported that several Zethi ships and scores of Zethi fighters and gunboats have been destroyed.
Homeworld has hailed the Rukira attack and officials are optimistic that the thrust into Zethi territory will help draw away Zethi attentions from Irroshir and Chora Dim.
In other news, Internal Security Chief Zerazahn announced today that the En Tabak has smashed an anti-Federation group that planned to carry out various acts of violence against the Federation government. He warned that several such groups existed and that extraordinary measures may be necessary to ensure the safety of the Federation.
JADARA HOLDS CHORA DIM, REPORTS GAINS AGAINST ZETHI IN SEVERAL SYSTEMS.
In a major development, Fleet Command has reported that Admiral Jadara’s forces have made gains against the Zethi in several key systems within the Chora Dim cluster. Jadara's forces hurled back the Zethi from their positions on the outskirts of the Chora Dim Colony, and followed up their success by pressing a dramatic effort to clear the neighboring systems of Karoti and Liki of Zethi units.
"The Zethi were here yesterday. Today, only their corpses are here," said one communiqué from 3rd Fleet H.Q.
Several Zethi vessels have been reported destroyed or heavily damaged, including a Zethi Gunboat Carrier [CVG] and several auxiliaries that failed to escape the Karoti system. At this time, 3rd Fleet is reported to be holding its positions amid repeated Zethi counter attacks.
BATTARED FOE WITHDRAWS BEFORE 3RD FLEET IN CHORA DIM.
Following the successful capture of the Twende, Karoti and Liki star systems, Admiral Jadara's 3rd Fleet is continuing to press its efforts to drive the Zethi completely from the Chora Dim cluster. The following communiqué from Admiral Jadara was releases by authorities on Irrosa:
"We have broken through the enemy positions in the inner cluster, and having repulsed a determined counter attack by Zethi forces, we are pressing forward into the outlying systems."
CHORA DIM GAINS HOLD STEADY AS FLEET TRADES BLOW FOR BLOW WITH ENEMY IN TAL MKGIZA.
Fleet Command has announced that Admiral Jadara's 3rd Fleet is holding steady after making impressive gains against the Zethi in Chora Dim. The Admiral's Headquarters has reported that the foe has suffered dreadful losses since launching its attack into Chora Dim and has been forced to withdraw to the cluster's outer systems.
One official declared: "The Zethi effort to secure the cluster has been thrown back. The whole of Chora Dim is now free of Zethi influence."
Homeworld officials also announced that Admiral Gavoya's 1st Fleet is resisting the Zethi advance into Tal Mkgiza. "At this time, the enemy is gathering strength in several systems along the periphery of the cluster, and has launched a series of powerful probing actions that have been beaten back by the determined efforts of 1st Fleet.
ZETHI ATTACKS ON IRROSHIR AND TAL MKGIZA SMASHED. ZETHI RAIDERS ATTACK TEMMUSHA AND HUMAN SHIPPING.
Zethi attempts to push deeper into the Tal Mkgiza cluster and the besieged Irroshir system have been smashed by the Federation Fleet.
Homeworld officials are reporting that the J.E.F. has successfully driven back a Zethi bid to secure the outer reaches of the Irroshir system. "If the Zethi continue at this rate, Irroshir's population may soon find itself outnumbered by the Zethi dead drifting through the reaches of the system," stated one optimistic communiqué.
Admiral Gavoya's Headquarters has reported that the Federation Fleet is consolidating its defense around Ilosta Kezi and the inner systems of Tal Mkgiza after hammering several attempts by the Zethi to fight their way into the primary systems of the cluster.
In acts that clearly display the foe's disregard for the safety of non-combatants, authorities in the Lumalu and Tishu clusters reported several attacks on commercial shipping by Zethi arsenal ships. Several foreign vessels, including three ships from the Imperial League and two from the Human Confederacy, were reportedly among those attacked by the Zethi.
FEDERATION FLEET MEETS ZETHI IN "HISTORIC BATTLE." ZETHI DIVISION IS "ANNIHILATED."
The latest dispatches from Tal Mkgiza have reported that Admiral Gavoya's forces have "annihilated" a formation of Zethi ships in the Vujinka system.
Homeworld officials have confirmed that a formation of Zethi ships was destroyed when Federation forces isolated them in the Vujinka system. Irrosa has tentatively identified the ships as belonging to the Zethi's 45th Battlecruiser Division and the 7th Defense Corps. Among the enemy ships destroyed, were two Battlecruisers, three Frigates, and two Monitors. "Vujinka is firmly under the control of the Federation Fleet," said Admiral Mazrat.
On the battle raging in the Chil'Natra system, the Admiral announced that our forces have "successfully fended off repeated Zethi attacks." Fleet Command has reported that 1st Fleet has been "continuously engaged" in the Chil'Natra system for several days.
1ST FLEET HOLDS FIRM. REPEATED ATTACKS COST FOE DEARLY.
The latest reports from Admiral Gavoya's Headquarters in Ilosta Kezi indicate that 1st Fleet is continuing to hold its positions within the Tal Mkgiza cluster despite the foe's incredibly intense attacks.
Officials have admitted that Federation units have been removed from Vioski and Rista Bima. "After resisting a series of strong Zethi advances and inflicting grievous casualties upon the enemy, the units stationed in Vioski and Rista Bima were removed to consolidate the defenses of Tal Mkgiza's inner systems. Any suggestion to the contrary by the Zethi is simply a lie."
Irrosa has reported that both sides have sustained heavy losses in the ongoing action. Official dispatches have indicated that casualties have been particularly high among the foe's hard-pressed aerospace corps.
OFFICIALS REASSURE PUBLIC THAT HOMEWORLD DEFENSES ARE STRONG.
Officials have announced that Admiral Gavoya's 1st Fleet has completed its withdrawal from Tal Mkgiza and has joined the reconstituted 2nd Fleet under the leadership of Admiral Varleyta.
In an address before the full assembly of the Federation, Prime Magistrate Zopiliaz reassured the delegates of the strength of the Federation's inner defenses. "We must not forget that from the moment the Commonwealth first declared war against our people, it was always possible for the Zethi to bring to bear the full weight of their terrible devices upon even our remotest possessions. We have lived under this evil for generations; but, in contemplating the great dangers before the Federation, I see no cause for alarm or despair, but unwavering vigilance and endeavor."
The Prime Magistrate went on to catalog the continuous efforts of the Federation to ensure the defense of the Home District and vowed that "the Hyrunian race and our brave allies will emerge victorious from the impending struggle before us."
ZETHI RAIDS REPULSED. HOMEWRLD HONORS HEROS OF TAL MKGIZA AND CHORA DIM.
Homeworld officials have announced that the combined might of the Central Alliance has repulsed the recent raids carried out by the marauding forces of the Zethi Commonwealth.
Within the Federation, the enemy struck without mercy in Choyem, Tsefa, and Tishu, as well as launching renewed assaults on Chora Dim and Irroshir. The Zethi strategy in these most recent attacks was simple: Destroy everything possible. Officials admitted that some sectors suffered severe damage as a result of the unprecedented Zethi attacks. There have been an undetermined number of casualties as the Zethi marauders blasted production facilities, docks, and depots with little regard for the danger posed to civilians.
However, in a statement released to the public, Admiral Mazrat commented that "despite the fury and violence witnessed in recent days, the enemy has not made any new gains against the Federation or our Rukira allies. Throughout the war zone, our forces continue to hold their ground."
Dispatches from Hashir have indicated that the Zethi suffered considerable losses after running afoul of heavy fleet units in Mokolikratz and Toczyckolo.
In a public ceremony, Homeworld officials honored numerous Federation personnel for displaying great acts of courage and bravery under fire. Among those honored were several individuals from the 102nd Aerospace Regiment whose actions are credited with beating off repeated Zethi attacks in a rear guard action for Admiral Gavoya's 1st Fleet in Tal Mkgiza. The elite unit racked up no less than 130 kills in two days of intense fighting and is credited with the destruction of 5 enemy vessels.
ZETHI CONTINUE TO PRESS CHORA DIM; IRROSHIR CONTINUES TO RESIST ZETHI SEIGE.
Fleet Command is reporting that the enemy is continuing to exert tremendous pressure in an effort to dislodge Admiral Jadara's forces from Chora Dim. "Time and again, the Zethi have attacked, and time and again, Chora Dim's heroic defenders have hurled them back," said the official release.
Officials also refuted Zethi claims of having crippled the Federation Fleet. "The Zethi have a true gift for storytelling," said Councilor Mazrek. " Soras has claimed the destruction of so many of our ships that one begins to think that the Federation Fleet eclipses Sildath's Grand Fleet in size. To be truthful, there have been setbacks, but half of the ships they claim to have destroyed are still flying and still fighting to defend the colonies."
The latest news from the embattled Irroshir system has indicated that the Zethi appear to be gathering on the outskirts of the system. Officials have commented that Marshal Thevana may be preparing to launch an all out effort to capture Irroshir at any hour.
J.E.F. ENGAGES ENEMY IN TSEFA, DECIMATE ENEMY CARRIER GROUP.
Late breaking news from Fleet Command on Irrosa has announced that units from the J.E.F. have inflicted a crushing blow on the Zethi forces raiding Tsefa.
Officials admit that communications with Tsefa are difficult due to hyperspacial disruptions; however, they are reporting that the 121st Strike Division along with elements of the 35th Heavy Line Group have ambushed and decimated a powerful enemy carrier group. "We are confirming that at least one Zorat class carrier was destroyed," said a Federation spokesman. "Subsequent reports have indicated that a second enemy carrier of undetermined size was destroyed or crippled in the fight."
At present, Admiral Kerpesha's forces continue to resist Zethi attacks throughout the Hyrunian-Rukira border region.
Alarms sounded throughout the colonies of the Yagari cluster today as officials received reports of sorties by Zethi forces in Tal Mkgiza. However, no Zethi attacks or efforts to penetrate the cluster were reported.
ILOSTA KEZI "A SEA OF FLAME" FROM ENEMY BOMBARDMENT.
Irrosa is reporting that it has received information via various sources that the Zethi have subjected the Ilosta Kezi Colony to a sustained and brutal bombardment and that the colony is currently held by the Zethi with the aid of insurrectionists.
Sources have described the colony as "a sea of flame."
Insurgents, backed by the Zethi Commonwealth have violently seized Ilosta Kezi, attacking government facilities and Federation authorities. Unconfirmed reports have suggested that the Zethi have landed several battalions of Shokarva trained insurrectionists that have been harbored within the Commonwealth since the Shokarva kitavka was outlawed by the Homeworld Government in 2492AD. One official from the Federation's Office of Internal Security speculated that it was "possible that the Zethi bombarded several of the colony's vital centers of authority in order to facilitate any action by the insurgents. There is strong reason to believe that these rebels are many of the same Hyrunian traitors used by the Zethi to destabilize the Lygalt Region."
It is known that the colony's defense and security headquarters have been destroyed and that colony officials are engaged with well-armed rebels in street to street fighting for control of the colony. Late reports from non-Federation sources have indicated that the attack was launched from orbit when captured Federation freighters were allowed to pass through the colony's defense grid. Zethi authorities had stated that the Federation ships contained Hyrunian refugees that were being relocated to Ilosta Kezi by order of the Commonwealth Navy.
Head of Federation Internal Security Otama Zerazahn stated: "The current trials visited upon the Federation have allowed the watchful to discern the true patriots from those bereft of all loyalty for our race. Mark my words, the Zethi will be thrown back, and our watch words for the betrayers in our midst will be 'no mercy.'"
FOE ENTERS CHORA DIM!
Irrosa has announced that the Zethi have entered the Chora Dim system. Their vanguards have penetrated the outer rim of the system and are being met with furious attacks by the forces under Admiral Jadara. Only sketchy accounts of the battle have been received; however, heavy fighting was reported in the vicinity of the Andraka deep range facility in Chora Dim.
Zethi forces are believed to be gathering in force just beyond the periphery of the historic colony system.
Officials have announced that special units of the Federation Fleet have been deployed to cover efforts to evacuate citizens and military assets from Chora Dim. These units which include the 68th Heavy Strike Division and several independent regiments of the Federation's elite security corps, have been tasked with keeping the passage from Chora Dim open until the last remaining transports can depart the system safely.
BRAVE DEFENDERS CLING TO INNER SYSTEM IN CHORA DIM, REPULSE NUMEROUS ZETHI THRUSTS.
Fleet Headquarters has described the valiant effort of Chora Dim's defenders as "nothing short of magnificent." The combined force of elite flyers from the Strike Corps and Internal Security has repulsed multiple efforts by the Zethi to press deeper into Chora Dim.
The latest dispatches received from the system have indicated that the Zethi have not moved beyond Chora Dim's outer Soft Zone.
Irrosa has reported that the evacuation from Chora Dim is running around the clock. Sources within the Federation Fleet have reported that despite reports of Zethi activity in the systems surrounding Chora Dim, the Zethi have thus far failed to deploy their arsenal units in an attempt to cut off the exodus.
However, officials believe that it is only a matter of time before the enemy attempts to strangle Chora Dim. Well-placed sources have reported that Irrosa has ordered the demolition of everything of possible use to the Zethi, this includes any of Chora Dim's substantial issinium stores that have not already been relocated deeper within the Federation. "The enemy appears to be gathering his strength for a final push," said a spokesman for Admiral Mazrat. "The final push could come at any time now."
IRROSHIR DEFENDERS HURL BACK ZETHI ASSUALT. KERPESHA POUNDS ZETHI IN TSEFA.
The brave defenders of Irroshir have reportedly thrown back a major enemy effort to push into the outer region of the Irroshir system.
The battle was reportedly focused on the immediate vicinity of Nyzuri, the gas giant that dominates the outer soft zone of the Irroshir system. Homeworld is reporting that J.E.F. units launched a surprise attack from the orbit of one of Nyzuri's moons, destroying several Zethi vessels, including scores of fighters and gunboats. A Zethi mobile base was reportedly destroyed along with a listening station.
Irrosa has also announced that Admiral Kerpesha's J.E.F. units have successfully attacked and destroyed a forward facility established by the enemy in Tsefa. Irrosa has not released any details from the battle; but officials have characterized the action, as a successful raid against a system considered vital to the foe's efforts in Tsefa and Irroshir.
In an address before the Federation, Prime Magistrate Zopiliaz renewed his call for the for the Hashir Alliance to launch an immediate counter offensive against the Zethi Commonwealth.
"IRROSA SHALL NOT YIELD."
In a statement signed by the Prime Magistrate and the Senior Council, Federation authorities declared that "Irrosa shall not yield before its foes." Homeworld officials have rejected the enemy's "clearly fraudulent overtures" and have assured the public that the Zethi shall be halted before the defenses of the Home District.
In a separate statement, Prime Magistrate Zopiliaz has urged the citizens of the Federation to not lose faith in the war effort. "We must not be defiant, because defiance only grows in the shadow of final defeat. In war, we must brace ourselves to our faith and resolve that Irrosa shall be forever free."
The news comes as an increasing number of officials have publicly stated that they are confident that the Zethi offensive has reached its limit. "The Zethi lack the will for a prolonged war," said one official. "Their hesitation shows the lack of confidence they have in achieving a military victory."
BATTLE IN TSEFA; J.E.F. SWINGS INTO ACTION IN TOCYZCKOLO.
Homeworld officials have announced that elements of the J.E.F. have been dispatched from bases in Pleshti and several Rukira clusters to aid in the defense of Tocyzckolo.
Federation Fleet officials have confirmed that J.E.F. units have already linked up with elements of Hashir's regular forces and have taken up positions in Tocyzckolo. Federation officials have issued several statements assuring the puplic that the defense of Pleshti has not been diminished and that the deployment away from Federation territory is only temporary.
“Very specific units were selected to aid in the defense of Tocyzckolo,” said Admiral Mazrat. “The J.E.F. is stepping in until heavier units arrive from Hashir’s Home Fleet.” Mazrat added, “the defense of Tocyzckolo is critical to maintaining an open and direct transit route between the Federation and our Rukira allies.”
Fleet Command has confirmed that J.E.F. units have again engaged the Zethi in the Tsefa cluster, this time destroying several enemy transports and one light carrier. Officials declined to issue details, saying that the operation was still continuing.
